Privacy Policy

PinReport is owned and operated by BitTech LLC. This policy explains what information PinReport handles, where that information lives, and what choices you have when you use the app and the website.

What PinReport Stores

PinReport stores the inspection records you create in the app, including sessions, pins, photos, notes, annotations, location coordinates, timestamps, and related export settings. This information is stored on your device.

Location, Camera, and Photos

PinReport requests location access to drop GPS pins during inspection sessions and to keep the map useful while you are working. The app uses foreground "When In Use" location access and does not use background location tracking.

Camera access is used to capture reference photos attached to inspection pins. PinReport does not require Photo Library access for normal capture. Photos and annotations you create remain on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

Accounts

PinReport does not require you to create an account. We do not ask you to sign in with an email address, username, or password to use the core app.

Website Data

The PinReport website is a marketing and support site. If you email us, we receive the information you put in that message. We do not promise that email is encrypted end to end, so do not send sensitive inspection material or private customer information over email unless you are comfortable doing so.

Data Sharing and Servers

BitTech LLC does not operate backend servers that store your inspection sessions, pins, photos, notes, annotations, coordinates, or JSON backups. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your inspection records with third parties for advertising or data-broker purposes.

Information leaves your device only when you choose to share or save an export outside the app, email us, enable Apple services used by the app such as WeatherKit, or use Apple's in-app purchase system.

App Privacy Summary

PinReport is designed so BitTech LLC does not collect your inspection records. The app does not use tracking, third-party advertising SDKs, or third-party analytics SDKs. Data processed only on your device is not transmitted to BitTech LLC.

Analytics and Tracking

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs in the app. We do not use third-party trackers on the website at launch. We do not sell your personal information.

Weather Capture

Weather capture is off by default. If you enable it in the app, PinReport may send the current inspection coordinate to Apple through WeatherKit to retrieve current weather conditions. Apple states that WeatherKit uses location information only to provide weather forecasts, does not associate it with personally identifiable information, and does not track it between requests. PinReport stores only the weather snapshot returned for the inspection record you saved.

WeatherKit data may require Apple Weather attribution where weather is displayed. That attribution is handled in the app where weather data appears.

App Lock and Biometrics

PinReport offers an optional app-lock feature that uses Apple's LocalAuthentication system for Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode fallback. BitTech LLC does not receive your face, fingerprint, or passcode data. The app only receives the yes-or-no result needed to unlock the app on your device.

Exports and Sharing

PinReport can generate PDF reports, geotagged photo exports, and JSON backups. Those exports may include photos, notes, timestamps, GPS coordinates, and weather snapshots when that feature is enabled. Once you choose to share or save an export outside the app, the privacy of that exported file depends on where you send it and who receives it.

Payments

Pro purchases are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system. BitTech LLC does not receive your full payment card information. Apple may provide purchase status information needed to unlock or restore Pro.

Your Choices

You can deny or revoke location, camera, and Face ID permissions in iOS Settings. You can leave weather capture turned off. You decide when to export, save, or share reports, photos, or backups outside the app.

Children's Privacy

PinReport is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app or website.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page.
